BIOGRAPHY
Alexander Cross is a jazz pianist & multi-genre keyboardist based out of Philadelphia, PA. With musical influences ranging from Herbie Hancock to Alter Bridge, Alex strives to create a unique sound that is both emotive and creative every time he performs. He prides himself on not aligning to one genre, taking influence from jazz, rock, pop, and classical (among others.)

Originally from Wallingford, CT, Alex took to music at a young age due to influences from his parents (both classical woodwind players, ironically.) He began taking piano lessons at age four and has been playing ever since across a 25+ year tenure. Alex relocated to the Philadelphia area to attend Temple University, where he obtained a degree in Jazz Performance in 2015. Shortly after, he received a masters degree in Arts Administration from Drexel University in 2016.

Alex actively plays with several musicians & groups in the greater Philadelphia area. He has had the opportunity to work with incredible artists such as Bianca Ryan, Brandon Moulden, Najwa Parkins, Kat Siciliano and Daud El-Bakara. Alex has released three solo albums and has contributed keyboards to several other projects and singles by other artists. He is also currently the lead vocalist for local alt-rock band, Auburn Row.
One of Alex's projects, the Alex Cross Quintet, was called "the future of jazz" by The Key, associated with WXPN Philadelphia. His latest album, "Aulasy," features original improvised compositions inspired by his time in various national parks; it is currently available on all streaming platforms.
